First Italian F-35A makes Atlantic crossing

Italian Air Force Lockheed F-35A MM7332/32-01 arriving at Lajes on February 3rd (Andre Inacio)

On the 3rd of February the first Italian Air Force Lockheed F-35A made the first Atlantic crossing of the type.
The aircraft arrived at Lajes in the Azores en route from Italy to Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. It was accompanied by two F-2000 Eurofighters, two KC-767s and two C-130Js.
