On July 9th four F-16C/Ds routed through Lajes in the Azores on their delivery flight to Balad Airbase in Iraq. These are the first Iraqi F-16s to be delivered into the country with all previous training taking place in Arizona.

The serials are: F-16Cs - IAF1607 & IAF1610 and F-16Ds - IAF1601 & IAF1604
