Leonardo Helicopters (formerly Westlands) performed the first flight for the Brazilian Navy's upgraded Super Lynx Mk21B helicopter at their Yeovil factory on September 28, 2017. The helicopter is the first of eight to be upgraded and wore UK military serial ZH962 (it wore serial N-4001 in service with the Brazilian Navy).

The upgraded Lynx Mk21Bs feature new CTS800-4N engines as well as a new glass cockpit and upgraded avionics.
