US Air Force bombers take part in Polar Roar

On August 1st 2016 the United States Air Force strategic bombers conducted Exercise Polar Roar.

The mission comprised of one B-52H from the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale, two B-2As from 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman and two B-52Hs from the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot. The aircraft conducted flights beginning in the United States which stretched to the North Sea and Baltic Sea, around the North Pole and Alaska and across the Pacific to the Aleutian Islands.
