On September 10, 2020 four B-1B Lancers from the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base deployed to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

The aircraft will operate under the 34th Expeditionary Squadron as part of the US Air Force's Bomber Task Force (BTF).
En-route to Guam two of the B-1Bs conducted escort training with Japanese Air Self-Defense Force fighters over the Sea of Japan.
