The year marks the 100th anniversary of United States Coast Guard aviation and to mark the event a number of aircraft will be painted in special retro colour schemes (much like the Navy did back in 2011.
MH-60T Jayhawk 6003 based at Coast Guard Air Station Astoria is the first to be painted, wearing the yellow markings common in the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
In total 16 aircraft will be painted this year, with the next one due to be a MH-65C at CGAS North Bend.
