The Dutch Ministry of Defence has agreed a contract with Pilatus for the delivery of eight PC-7 Mk.X training aircraft to replace the current fleet of PC-7s.
The Mk.X is a modernised version of the PC-7 and was selected as the training aircraft was required to have simpler military flying characteristics than could be provided by a more advanced training aircraft such as the Pilatus PC-21 or Beechcraft T-6 Texan II.
The aircraft will be operated by the Elementaire Militaire Vlieger Opleiding (EMVO, Elementary Military Pilot Training) at Woensdrecht.
