The 919th Special Operations Wing at Duke Field, Florida took delivery of their first Dornier C-146A Wolfhound on January the 5th 2016.
The aircraft, serial 12-3085, will be used by the maintainers and engineers to learn how to work on the new type for the unit.
The C-146A Wolfhound replaces the PZL C-145A Skytruck in service with the 919th SOW and more aircraft are expected to arrive in the coming month, with the first training class on the new type to commence in April. It is assumed that the 711th Special Operations Squadron will be the specific unit tasked with operating the C-146A, as it was with the C-145A.
