Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) conducted the first flight of their Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) at Bengaluru on September 6th.

The helicopter wore serial number ZG4620 and fleew for around fifteen minutes.

There is currently an overall requirement from the Indian military for 384 LUHs to replace the HAL Cheetak. Deliveries are due to begin in 2018.
