(10.08.16) The Ugandan Government is to receive eight refurbished Bell UH-1 helicopters as part of US Government Foreign Military Sales agreement.

The contract will include eight "zero timed" Huey II helicopters, plus spares, tooling and training. The contract was announced on Ausgust 3rd but no delivery schedules were disclosed.

The Huey II upgrade includes a new wiring and avionics, new rotors and transmissions and a new engine with increased power.
