On January 15th the first four Embraer A-29 Super Tucano were delivered to the Afghan Air Force in Kabul. The aircraft which are believed to be 13-2006, 13-2007, 13-2008 and 13-2009 are the first A-29s to have been handed over in Afghanistan. A training detachment is maintained at Moody Air Force Base in the United States to build up the Afghan's capabilities.
