The Bangladesh Army received three Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters in October 2016.

The aircraft were built at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant in Russia and are part of an overall order for six helicopters.

The serials of this first batch of Mi-171s are S3-BRM, S3-BRJ and S3-BRP.
