In 1963 a US Marine Corps KC-130F Hercules performed a number of landings and takeoffs from the USS Forrestal. The tests were designed to see if the C-130 was suitable for the Navy's Carrier Onboard Delivery aircraft but it was decided to go with the Grumman C-2A Greyhound.
