On 29.03 the first two F-22As for the 71st Fighter Squadron arrived at JB Langley-Eustis from Tyndall - 02-4040 and 03-4042. They are the first two of thirty that will transfer to Langley as it takes on the role of the F-22 Formal Training Unit.

The role was previously undertaken at Tyndall AFB with the 325th Fighter Wing which had temporarily relocated to Eglin AFB due to the damage caused by Hurricane Michael in 2018. 71 FTS had previously operated T-38As at Langley.
