RAF Valley on Anglesey will be closed to all aircraft traffic during August as part of a £20 million project to refurbish the aircraft. As part of the work the taxiways will be improved to increase the ability of the airfield to accept larger visiting aircraft such as C-130s and A400Ms.
During the closure the Hawk T.2s of 4 Squadron will relocate to MoD St Athan. The helicopters of 202 Squadron will continue to operate from Valley.
