On July 21, 2020 eight AV-8B Harriers of VMA-214 "The Black Sheep" arrived at Lajes Air Base in the Azores on their journey home from deployment to the Middle East. The unit had been deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and were en route back to their home base of MCAS Yuma, Arizona.
